第二種否字定首或前綴是 im -,重音在im-,通常用在以 m, p 開頭的單字。常見的單字如下表:

Proper 正確的,適當的 |
Improper 違法的,不適當的 |
If you are going to walk long distances you need proper walking shoes.
It is considered improper to wear such a short skirt to a formal occasion. |
